How it works

Royal Sharks Poker is designed to elevate the poker experience for venues, players, and league directors. Whether you're hosting poker nights at your venue, playing in a league, or managing events, we’ve streamlined everything to make it easier, more fun, and more rewarding.

Here's how it all works:

For Venues: Boost Your Business and Engage Players

As a venue, you can sign up for a quarterly subscription service that gives you the tools and support you need to run a successful poker league while driving more traffic to your business.

Create Your Venue Profile:

After signing up, you’ll create a dedicated page on our website for your venue. This page acts as your hub to promote your poker league, display your event schedule, and showcase your league’s current leaderboard.

Appoint a League Director:

You can appoint a league director to help run and manage your poker games. This director will oversee event organisation, track player standings, and submit weekly results to our platform. They will be your go-to person for keeping the league on track, ensuring smooth gameplay and accurate score reporting.

Engage and Retain Poker Players:

Your venue's participation in the Royal Sharks Poker network will attract more poker players. By offering a well-organised and exciting environment, your venue will stand out from others, increasing both foot traffic and sales.

For League Directors: Manage scores, and Engage Players

Set Up the League:

You’ll be responsible for setting up and managing the poker league at your chosen venue. This includes organising weekly events, coordinating player registration,

Track and Submit Player Results:

After each event, you’ll submit the final standings for all players to the Royal Sharks Poker platform. This can be done quickly and easily through your director dashboard. The results will be automatically integrated into both your venue’s leaderboard and the global leaderboard.

Maintain Accurate Leaderboards:

Every 13 weeks, your venue's leaderboard will reset, giving players a fresh start while also maintaining the ongoing global leaderboard, which will continue to track player performance across all participating venues. This keeps the competition fair and engaging for everyone.

For Players: Track Your Progress and Compete Globally

As a player, a yearly subscription to Royal Sharks Poker gives you access to a wide range of features to enhance your poker experience and track your progress across all participating venues.

Track Your Stats:

Once you're subscribed, you can track your poker performance not just at a single venue, but across all participating venues in the Royal Sharks Poker network. Keep an eye on your scores, average finishes, and rankings on both a venue-specific leaderboard and an ongoing global leaderboard.

Earn Accolades:

As you win or perform well in your leagues, you’ll earn accolades that recognise your achievements. Whether it's winning a local league, averaging the best score or winning at a Shiver league level, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills and gain bragging rights among the community.

Qualify for Bigger Tournaments:

Players who perform well on the global leaderboard have the chance to qualify for larger, invite-only games with bigger cash prizes. This is your chance to test your skills against the best players across all venues and compete for significant rewards!

Play Across Multiple Venues:

Your yearly subscription allows you to play at any venue that’s part of the Royal Sharks Poker network. Each time you play, your results are automatically tracked, and your stats are updated on both local and global leaderboards.

How the Leagues Work: A 13-Week Cycle

Each league runs for a period of 13 weeks. Players will compete in weekly poker games, with their finishing positions recorded by the league director.

Weekly Scoring:

After each event, the league director submits the finishing positions of all players, which are then used to update both the venue leaderboard and the ongoing global leaderboard.

Venue Leaderboards:

At the end of each 13-week cycle, the venue leaderboard will reset. This allows for new competitions to begin and gives players the chance to improve their rankings. Venue leaderboards are refreshed to reflect the most recent performance.

Global Leaderboard:

The global leaderboard doesn’t reset every 13 weeks. Instead, it’s a continuous record of all registered players, tracking their progress across all venues and leagues. Players on the global leaderboard will be eligible for larger, invite-only games, where they can compete for bigger prizes.
